How to connect your crypto wallet to Fahali — safely

A simple, read-only guide to connecting Binance Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, or any WalletConnect wallet for on-chain portfolio monitoring.

Fahali · Read-only monitoring

Fahali lets you add the self-custody wallet you already use for read-only on-chain monitoring. The connection is designed for visibility: Fahali can read the public address and supported chain balances, but it cannot move funds or place trades.

What a wallet connection does

After you approve a connection in your wallet, Fahali saves the public wallet address to your account and monitors supported on-chain balances for portfolio surveillance. It automatically checks Ethereum, Base, Polygon, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Optimism.

Fahali never asks for a recovery phrase, private key, or transaction signature. The wallet connection is limited to identifying the public address and network.

Connect in three steps

  1. Sign in to Fahali and open Connected Accounts.
  2. Select Connect a wallet, then choose Binance Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, or Another wallet.
  3. Scan Fahali’s QR code in your wallet and approve the connection. Fahali saves the public address automatically and begins a read-only scan.

Trust Wallet, OKX Wallet, Kraken Wallet, SafePal, and other WalletConnect-compatible wallets can use the Another wallet option.

Important: wallet balance vs. exchange balance

Connecting Binance Wallet reads that self-custody Web3 wallet address only. It does not show assets held in a Binance Exchange account. The same distinction applies to Coinbase Wallet and a Coinbase Exchange account.

If your exchange balance appears as zero after a wallet connection, your funds are likely held in the exchange account or a different wallet address. Exchange accounts need their own separate read-only API connection; a wallet QR connection does not and should not have access to custodial exchange balances.

What Fahali can see

Fahali checks native chain balances and a curated set of major tokens on the supported networks. A wallet may still show zero if it holds only an unsupported asset, has funds on another network, or the balance is held in an exchange rather than the connected self-custody address.

Use Fahali with ChatGPT

Fahali is officially approved by OpenAI and available in ChatGPT. Add Fahali from the ChatGPT apps directory to bring read-only market intelligence, risk context, and portfolio questions into your ChatGPT conversations.

Open ChatGPT, choose Apps, search for Fahali, and connect it to get started. Developers creating a custom GPT can also use Fahali’s OpenAPI connection.

Your control, always

You can disconnect a wallet from Connected Accounts at any time. Disconnecting stops future scanning for that Fahali account; it never affects the wallet itself or assets on-chain.

Fahali provides observation and risk monitoring, not investment advice.
